Corel9 can't open big files with images

I can't open big files of Corel9 created with same version of Corel9, who was archiveted on CD and HDD. The files are between 10 and 30 MB and contain images. I tray opened on three different computers with Win98 and WinXP and same result.

Try importing the cdr, been known to work when open has failed - also ensure your default printer is online. I have a postscript printer (anyone will do) set to file as my default printer as Corel does look at the printer.
