This may sound stupid but we have version 6 in one part of the school and version 12 in another.

Is there any way of exporting a V12 file so that V6 will read it?

It appears that you can only go back as fare as V7 in the save as dropdown.

You'd have to use an older version that will save back to 6. v11 or older will save back to v5.

Thanks I had a feeling that this was the only way!!

I will have to get a coppy of V9, they are not expensive now and one coppy would do as its only a small number of files for transfer

Just a quick suggestion - don't install version 9, please! Especially if it has to run on a network or if it is for a professional environment. 9 is very flakey, and was missing most of the features that became standard with 10. Just a heads-up based on my horrible horrible experiences with version 9. :)
