All applications can print fine, except for Corel Suite 8 (WordPerfect). If user logs in and tries to print under Wordperfect, the printer spits out blank pages. When logged in as Administrator, documents print perfectly.

Put user in administraor group to test. User cannot print. Same problem.

I know its a rights issue, but how do you resolve it???
I have checked everything!!!!

Unfortunately I don't have a solution just a comment. After I got a new harddrive I installed Win ME and reinstalled my wordferfect 8. There were so many problems that eventually I had to uninstall wordferfect. There seems to be a lot of problems with the new windows operating systems and compatibility with the older versions of wordperfect.

Effective with WP9, SP4, Corel redesigned the applications to be compatible with Windows 2000, Windows me, and now XP.

WP9, sp4 is a complete re-install on it's own CD (which should be proceeded by a complete uninstall of any other version of WP9 before installing). It is not a patch that can be downloaded.

Any serious business environment running Windows 2000 or XP should get upgraded to a current version. I have seen workarounds posted for certain issues which may work fine for more casual users.

I have had problems with WP8 and Windows 2000 also. The problem I have is the user gets an error at startup. The error is “Cannot Initialize” I have found a work around to this and you might try this also. In computer management, users and groups, add everyone to the admin group, doing so will only affect the local PC not the network, yes it will give normal users admin right to the local PC, but most users wont know that. This is the only way I have found to fix this type of problem. If anyone else has a better solution let me know?
