Hello

I have a problem regarding Corel Photo Paint with windows. After installing the software on my windows the preview feature of all image files doesnt work anymore on windows explorer or while browsing through the drives and folders from my computer. Can anyone tell me how to get it back ?

For those who dont know the feature i'm talking about.. when you are on a folder that has picture files, usually when you highlight a picture file windows shows a small preview of that picture on the left under its name and info (size.. and last time modified.. etc).

I would really appreciate it if someone tells me how to get it back or guide me to a site that could help me at least.
thank you very much

Did the exact same thing to me. I had to go into Folder Options/File Types (Start/Settings/Control Panel/Folder Options) and manually change the settings so that Corel was not the default program to open .jpg, .gif, etc.

Go to start
type "explorer" in the box - this will allow you to view all the folders on your hard drive - now in XP go to > My Documents>My Pictures> right click on the image that you wish to preview - in the menu you should see "preview" at the top if Windows Image Viewer can be used, or you can select open and it will open with the default program. (in this case Corel Photo Paint) in some cases you will get an "open with" option where you can select the program that you wish to open the file with. If you want to open ALL files of this type with the same program, check the box at the bottom of the program selection screen.
