When saving corel draw files or sometimes when printing the PC locks up. Also when saving some work and retrieving it, the work becomes a blank document.

I have the exact same problem,
I am running Corel Draw 10 with Windows ME. But I have also recieved messages saying that my virtual memory is low. I have a powerful system with lots of memory. I have no answers but I was thinking that there may be common issues.

Belly,
I also have a problem with system resourses running low when doing any type of graphics work on my Windows ME PC.
I found a website which covers issues related to Windows operating systems and it has information regarding this memory issue with WinME. The only answer I was able to find on the problem was to reboot.

Not much help, but the annoyances.org website has a lot of great info on windows issues. [pc3]

SchTech...

The first thing I would recommend... Install the font manager that came on your CD disk, if you are not using it already. Then uninstall as many fonts as possible. If you are a font-aholic like myself, you probably have hundreds of fonts installed. The problem is that Windows does not like lots of fonts. I try to limit my active fonts to less than 150... closer to 100 if you can swing it. Bitstream Font Navigator will let you easily install/uninstall fonts.

Try that first and see how it works. It may or may not fix your problem but it is good practice anyway.

Also, your ME was probably ghosted onto your syustem rather than installed. That is how the computer companies do it. This usually works... but sometimes causes problems. If you can... reinstall the OS after backing up... it will give you a clean install and kill any possible bugs or glitches from the ghosted install. I do that on any new computer as soon as I get it just to make sure it is pristine. And it has the added benefit of allowing you to leave off all the extra crap they say you need on your machine....

hope this helps.

Jacque.. thanx for that website.. it looks awesome... it is now a part of my bookmarks! When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
