I am trying to produce a Newspaper ad in Corel Draw 11 and I need to decrease the Ink Weight %, But cannot work out how to do this. Does anyone know how this is done?
Is this a colour advert, and you want to be sure that you don't have blacks printing as 100C 100M 100Y 100K but need them reduced to perhaps 30 30 30 100 ?
Personally, I'd start by NOT putting colours like that into the design -- though maybe if you've imported elements from elsewhere it might not be so easy to prevent or detect.
I think CMYK limiting would more normally be done by the high end imposition program that puts the newspaper together, rather than by the programs that create individual adverts. I certainly can't recall any parameters within CorelDraw that would configure this -- which suggests that either it happens automatically when you create your print file, EPS or PDF, or that it doesn't do it.
If you do need to make global colour changes within CorelDraw then the Find/Replace Colours tool may be of some assistance -- but you will need to know exactly what colours you have in your drawing (not forgetting the outlines) and what you want to replace them with.
