I am creating a single image map file for my client and have placed bookmarks on objects within the document. At the top of this document I have text of which I assigned url's to go to the bookmarks defined in the document.

I cannot get the bookmarks to work in a web browser when published to the web as a single image map file.

Does anyone have the answer to making the bookmarks work?

Neither Draw nor Photopaint are web editors. They're good for creating the images, but this is really something that is probably best suited for your web editor. Any good web editor will bring in your image and let you declare what will be a hotspot.

I agree with javabear, use Paint for retouching/resampling your photos but put the thing together with a web editor. I use Namo ( functional, easy and doesn't break the bank, but there are many out there.

Thanks for your immediate input but it does not solve my problem.

My client has asked me to recommend a very simple program that they can use to create the graphics and also create bookmarks within a newsletter. They will mail out this newsletter using Outlook Express by setting the stationary function to the single image map htm file created by Corel. I was hoping that they could do this within Corel since they would not have to learn another program such as a web editor.

I have been using Graphic Suite to create single image maps for emailing. The links to website url's work fine.

Corel does provide a bookmark function in the program. My guess is that it should work as well as the url link function.

Any ideas why the bookmark function does not work.
