Hi -- Thanks for looking at my long post

My neighbor across the street asked me today for advice and I cant really help him-----. Im hopping somoone here can! Here is what his situation is. He has 2 incomming lines to the house. One is the Familys line the other is his exclusive for bussiness. He wants all wireless units and one wired base. He needs a total of 5 wireless "desk" phones not portable style. He also needs 3 wireless "cordless" style units. He wants Line one available on all units but line two available on only some of the units. Is there a system that will alow him to do this? I said that Panasonic had a system similar to this but I did not see anything about line programability in the handbook. I know that many companys have those expandable systems. I told him today that I would wire rooms if he could not find a suitable system. If there is a wireless system that would be great! But I am currently investigating small pbx systems. There are so many... I am only familure with Merlin Legend ( actulay only somewhat) But that is to big for what he needs. IS there a system that would accept standard caller id equiped phones? and allow me to acomplish this same idea? Mainly he wants interom, transfer, stuff like that I have not seen anything like that I have looked on ebay for a few days and come up empty. Thanks for your help all after reading this long post.

Jake - For the cost of a "wireless desk set" you can buy a lot of wiring... Avaya's Partner ACS is great for this type of application. Desk sets and enhanced wireless telephones with keyset-like features. Different ring sound on line-by-line basis is good to distinguish calls (although I'm not sure if that is passed to proprietary wireless phone). Will also support analog phones plugged into any telephone or port. Base unit is 5 lines X 9 stations - or if you don't need latest version, there are a lot of 3 line X 8 station processors out there. Expansion modules are generally 3 line X 8 station. Supports an inexpensive PCMCIA based voicemail system called "Partner Voice Messaging" - or a larger more competent voicemail called "Partner Messaging" (name similarity can be confusing). The Partner is my favorite residential/SOHO phone system! Good luck.

I have a Siemens home system that will route fax calls to a separate fax machine and with a baby room monitor built in. It is discontinued, but this one seems similiar, although I can't seem to find if it is two line. Mine is.
Generally I love Pansonic equipment, but I have had trouble with home Pansonic phone equipment, so I avoid it.
I didn't look at that site to see if they had non portable wireless stations.

I think you was right in the place (panasonic) a kxtda15 its reasonably cheap & supports a very good dect system, alternativley you could try the panasonic KXTES, another cheap system & supports the same dect system

Thank you.... I have printed out the specs for many panasonic systems for him. He likes the systems they offer. Could somone give me a recomendation on a system so we dont get less than what we need or more. atleast 10 stations with room with no more than 4 more. He does want caller ID. He wants 3 line capability now. and night service. But he really wants the ability to not allow other phones to acces his lines. I see alot of panasonic wired systems out there. What do you guys recomend? Ill try to post in panasonic as well... Thanks alot
