Does anyone know of cordless pbx phones that can be used with a Partner ACS system. The ones I saw from Lucent are 500 bux and they are garbage. NO speaker phone. no caller ID. I found Uniden Analog PBX cordless phones for $300 that supposed to allow you tp transfer calls and use other lines. Anyone know the deal with this?

Thanks
Gene

I know Engenius work, but are limited in the # of lines without buying multiple base units. They also do not have speaker phone, but I haven't seen any cordless speakerphones myself for the Partner... Not familiar with the Uniden.. Matt Wray

the uniden should work you will have to handle it like a single line extension.
Im not sure if the caller id will work , look to see if the acs will pass caller id to a s.l.

Thanks Guys

I don't know what to do about this system. he wants 2 cordless phones that he can use to transfer calls or use line 1 or 2. I'm fairly new to this game, But I know if it says analog it most likely will bypass the Partner ACS.

I'm not familar with how an analog phone can use the digital PBX to transfer calls and other features.

I have a few weeks to try to find a solution for this customer. He has a large house and really needs some kind of cordless phone that will also allow him to page his kids extentions when dinner is ready and so on!

Thanks
Gene

It sounds as if this cust wants all the bells and whistles. You might want to investigate the AVAYA Transtalk, it supports 2 handsets, can support multiple zones and acts like a system set-ie: line and feature buttons, caller id, etc. (sorry, no speaker phone). You're also going to exceed your $500 price tag :)

How about a really, really long mounting cord?

mattwray,
followed your link for a brief look-see and it looks pretty impressive. may have to keep this in mind for future reference.

I'm familar with the transtalk at 500 beans. It just lacks the umph in what I expect to pay for 500 beans.

However the EnGenius SN-920 is more realistic in price. Plus I can add an addition hand unit to the system for $200 bux not $500.

Matt once again you have come to the rescue. I read lots of post trying to gain insight into the biz and your replyes never seem to lack integrity and knowledge. Thanks for your info, as well as everyone else who pitched fourth their info.

I may need help on programing that flash hook if I can sell this setup to the cust.

FYI
I had problems accessing the info page on the website. I'll try to hit it tommorrow.

Thanks
Gene

If your ever in north Jersey I'll buy you a drink!!

make sure the partner extensions will pass enough juice to the engenius base to make it work - i have had this problem with a seimens 2 line system - not enough juice to ring the phones - we had to bridge it on the lines and lost intercom capability - another option is a goood 2,4 ghz 2 line cordless - use "line 1" as 1 extension, "line 2" as a second extension - works great - the 500 cordless isnt even the transtalk - is more likely the business cordless 905 - also the caller id only passes to partner phones - not single line sets - good luck!

I have installed a few of the Engenius phones myself, so I know they work... Matt Wray

Hey Matt,

Will I be able to get the caller ID to reach those Engenius cordless phones? And will they be able to intercom to an MLS-6 in the kids room?

Thanks
Gene

I'll have to check the Caller Id info, but it can intercom call the other phones. But note, if you want to have more than 1 CO line and intercom, you will have to get 2 base stations. That will enable you to get 3 CO lines and intercom dial tone. I'll post again tomorrow about the Caller ID (I think it will work)... Matt Wray

no go on the caller id - has to be a partner phone - you will be able to intercom (ring or voice) any of the extensions or any of the calling groups - just make sure you program auto line select for that extension to intercom first
