Cordless NEC dtl-8r-1 on NECSL100 Caller ID Log

I have nec dtl-8r-1 cordless telephones for a customer as main telephones at their desk. They want Caller ID after the call is placed or received,but the phones don't store numbers. Can I install a Caller ID log button on a spare button on these telephones to get the log?

Incoming Caller Id list is a feature I just discovered. This may work.
