The range is usually 125 to 150' and they work best on single line applications, because user has to return to phone to answer other lines or transfer call. If customer needs full function, a Transtalk wireless multiline display phone would be better and does work with Partner.
If you program the Auto Line Select on the Partner extension to select Intercom first, then the outgoing lines, and then plug the cordless into the AUX port on the phone, it will work great.
However, the user needs to learn some codes to access lines, park, and pickup.
When they go off hook, they are on Intercom. Dial 9 for an outside line. Flash and dial your own extension number to park a call. It can be picked back up by dialing 6 and the extension number that parked it. (Do this on the intercom; the cordless is programmed to select it first, but any other user on the system just presses Intercom and dials 6XX to get the call). If a call is on hold elsewhere, and they say something like "Joe, you have a call on line 3", you dial 6803 (where 03 is line 3; Line 1 is 01, etc.). To Transfer calls, you flash and dial the other extension number. Either hang up, or wait, announce the call, then hang up. The call transferes to the other extension.
So, if you have a user who is sharp, it can work really well. If your user's eyes glaze over when you explain it to them, stick with a transtalk.
