could anyone tell me if it's possible to encrypt or in some way make cd's sold to the public impossible to copy?

Yeah, you can buy software that you van use to prevent piracy.

No it is not, every encryption program can be broken if the person wanting to break in has the resources to break the code.

But yes, it is possible to keep the run of the mill person from making copies. Do a search on Google for good encryption.

If your CD is going to display copyrighted images, take heed that while you can make it real hard to copy the disk, it is impossible to stop a savvy user from lifting an image here or there.

For instance: I put your CD in my PC to view the contents, I see a pic on it I want, I hit Print Screen Sys Rq key, I open Photoshop, I create new file, I hit CTRL V to paste the screen shot image on the new file and save it. I now have your image. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

Good point, there is no way to get around trying to protect picture, unless you choose not to release the pictures at all. Even the Digimark filter in photoshop isn't foolproof, all you have to do is hit print screen and it's yours. There is only one program that I've seen that when you push print screen and try to paste into photshop the picture shows as a black screen. I would like to know how they did that! "Nothing is impossible!"

One more thing to add, you could always print out your pictures and mail them to yourself by registered mail and then they belong to you. They are dated and you could sue someone if you wanted to, because you have proof, that the pics are yours.

JUST DON'T OPEN THE LETTER WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT BACK, IT ONLY GETS OPENED IN FRONT OF A JUDGE, IN COURT.

If you don't want any one to gets your pics, don't release them. "Nothing is impossible!"
