Copyrighting Software

I am developing a software package that I plan to put on the market sometime.

I just thought of a name for my software package. Let's just say I want to call it "FastSoftware Pro 1.0" (This isn't the real name)

How can I find out if there is someone else out there with a software package already called "FastSoftware Pro?"

If there isn't how can I copyright the name so noone else can take it?

The obvious is google the name and see what pops up. If your software is similar (end result) to another, there may be issues. However, I think you may be looking at Trademark and not Copyright.
