I am building a separate exchange environment in which I want to integrate an existing (non-affiliated,organizationally) exchange server's public folders.
I am copying the public folders into the administrator's mailbox in order to
EXmerge the entire thing.
A few of the public folders error-out when I attempt to copy them. I
receive this message:
--Can't copy the items. Unable to move of copy folders. Can't copy folder. A
top-level folder can't be copied to one of its subfolders. Or, you may not
have appropriate permissions for the folder. To check your permissions for
the folder, right-click the folder, and then Properties on the shortcut
menu.--
**NOTE** when checking the 'Administration' tab from the properties menu of
the individual folder, the troublesome folders path looks like: \Example
where folders that do not give me trouble look like: \\Public
Folders\Example
Only a few give this error, and I am logged in as administrator whom I have
given full owner rights to the root folder and propagated the settings. Is
there a trick or workaround for this? Anyway that I can reestablish the
correct path or override any root-level folder settings? Better yet, is there a utility like Exmerge that will export
the entire public folder hierarchy?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
