Hi all,
long time lurker, first time poster = )

Has anyone out there copied the printer config from one machine to another? I have about 10 network printers installed on one computer that I also want to install to another box. Both are runnign Red Hat ES 3. I tried copying /etc/cups/printers.conf, /etc/cups/cupsd.conf, and /etc/printcap from computer A to computer B and then restarting the cups daemon but no luck. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

On the one hand, you may find all cups-related directories with find:
Code:
find / -name "*cups*" -type d 2>/dev/null
On the other hand, I guess cups is intendet to be used as a network service, and let you print to the printserver, without managing every printer on every client (but I don't know details, how to do this).
