I've always had problems transferring Outlook Express to a new machine. Outlook is never a problem - but Express!!!
Address book - I export/import in a .csv file - that's fine.
Accounts - I export/import in a .iaf file - their fine, as well.
Folders - I can never successfully do this as Microsoft suggest and often find the folders I've transfererred are empty. So to avoid problems, I end up recreating the folders on the new PC, drag & dropping the messages onto a folder on the old PC and pasting them back into the new one.
Not very efficient, is it. Could any kind soul with a few minutes to spare, tell me how I do this propertly. This is a problem I've been meaning to tackle for years.
My other problem with OE6 is I have a machine that's not letting me log on with a username where all their emails are kept. I can log in as admin and access the user folder, but can't remember where the folders/messages are kept. The last time I did this I remember I had to display the hidden files, but where are they?
Grateful for any help anyone can give.
Thanks,
Mike
