Hi
We currently have a BCM 50 v2. We are in the the process to replace it with a newer BCM50 v6. We still intend to keep the original as a backup/resilience unit (upgraded to v6). Do Nortel offer a feature that you can mirror the licence from the original unit or will we have to buy new licences?

Thanks

This could be an option for you;

NTDW06AB-Entitlement Transfer Pool Registration for 2 BCM50 systems

This would enable you to move licences between 2 BCM50s, however you will need KRS access or need a vendor to do it for you.

Will tis solution allow me to keep the existing bcm50 as a backup system.

Thanks

I am not sure to be honest. I have not used it personally as it only appeared on the price list from R5 onwards I think.

Basically I believe the theory is, if you had 2 sites and you had users moving between them, they could bring their licneces with them instead of havong to purchaes additional codes.
