copying inbox to cd?

Where do I find the "inbox" folder to copy?

Not enough information. Which email client are you using?
If outlook, is it in corporate/workgroup mode or used as a client of MS Exchange Server?

if just the inbox to copy probably best to just export the inbox into a pst file.

file - import and export. go through the wizard - all self explanatory and then save the .pst to c:\ then burn onto CD from there.

that should work. Althgouth do note that if you burn onto CD you will not be able to read the folder as it will be read only and you cannot open .pst files that are read only.
