I want to set up a duplicate record AND include all the history files. Anyone have an idea how to accomplish this? Appreciate any help given!!

get the account number of the one you want to copy, and the one that you want to replace this with. Find the entries within the conthist table, and then copy these, highlight the AccountID of the ones you have just copied and overwrite this with the new accountid number.

I would use access to do this, do not use excel, due to the notes column would not show.

Hope this helps...

Thanks! Will have our programmer see if he can do this.

It quite easy, but do not forget to make a backup up before you do this.

Do not worry about the RECID, keep it the same as the records you are taking the notes from.

Then rebuild the db after you have done just to make sure there are no errors.

Glad to be of some help
