Is there a way to burn hidden files to a cd and have them remain hidden, but still work?

I am running windows 2000 pro and also XP pro.

this is in conjunction with acrobat 6.0.

I hide the files then when I burn them to the cd they reappear. Although they are still hidden on my computer.

All help is appreceated

Thanks

Not that I have seen. One issue is that the file systems used for CDs have very limited support for file and/or folder attributes, including very little space made physicly available to store the attribute information.

You could try WinZip and password protect the zipped file, but while people can't open the file, a weakness in WinZip is it allows reading of the filenames inside the zipped file.

Just a thought... I wonder if making the CD multisession could work for this requirement? Say, burn the hidden files into an earlier session, then "delete" them from the final session. You'd need some way to activate the earlier session to access those "deleted" files.

The idea sound good I will try.
Thanks for the help
