Hi all,

I'm using ePortfolio and the CMC. I want to ensure that general users cannot copy any of our standard reports to their own favorites folder. So I went out to CMC, picked a folder of standard reports, and went to the rights of that folder and explicitly denied "everyone" rights to copy objects to another folder. Then I explicitly granted "adminstrators" rights to copy to another folder (becuase the administrators need to do that sometimes).

It half works... when I sign in as a general user I can't copy, which is good. But when I sign in as administrator I can't copy either, which is not good.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Rights can be assigned at the object, group or folder level.

Check the other levels, perhaps they are explicitly denied there.

I don't mean to be difficult, but wouldn't this show up in the inherited rights columns? I notice that they say either "(denied)", "(granted)" or "(not specified)" so wouldn't that tell me?
