What's the best method of tranfer multiple files from a Mac OSX onto a USB drive in PC format?

More info:
When I go to my graphic designers house, I ussually take my PC laptop, and need to transfer files to and from his Mac (OSX). We could set up a network, but sometimes it's only a few files.

To make it easier (i thought), I've just tried using a 32meg USB-Drive disk. When transfering from Mac to PC, the Mac creates two names for each file:

- One is the original file name, but has no information eg "filename" (no extension, no bytes)
- The other is "._filename" with the full bytes it should have. Obviously windows is trying to put an extension on by creating another file, but what's the best method around this?

is this OS 9.* or lower, and what filesystem is the USB drive formated in?

Try formatting the drive on the PC. The Mac is far better that understanding PC rubbish than is true the other way round. Mac's having been reading PC floppy disks for years - try that the other way round.
