does someone know how long would it take to copy 100 gigs of data through a fiber channel?

thank you,

It depends on what you are using to copy the data, how your HBAs are configured/port speed etc. There are a lot of factors

My hba port speed are configured to 2gigs. I have just copying and pasting. I am not useing any software to copy.

So are u copying from a local disk to a SAN disk.. then in theory you should be getting 2Gbps throughput. Therefore for 100GB (if my calc are right should take about 7 minutes) Try a robocopy session as opposed to using Windows Explorer.
