I emailed the following to my Mas90 consultant which I got an automated reply back that she is out of office today. Hope someone here can help:

---------------------
We have more than one company setup in our system and until now we have been using both. Here are the two companies: ISL SCU

1.) I need to copy S/O, A/R, I/M, B/M, and W/O from ISL into SCU. These modules in SCU do not contain any info (or if any it is outdated) so I'm assuming I can just copy directories from ISL like I have done before changing the three letters of the filename to SCU. Then doing rebuilds on the files.

2.) How will this effect G/L? G/L in SCU has already been used because of P/R and A/P so I can't just copy it over.
3.) Is there anything else I should be worried about when doing this?

Use File - Run - SVDATA to copy files from ISL to SCU.

Of course, don't copy AP, GL or PR.

This will have no direct effect on GL.

But...

Your subsidiary files should reconcile to the GL:
Accounts Receivable
Inventory
etc.

Another question... i just learned that they only want "open" sales orders copied. Is there a way to do this? Or if there is an easy way to purge all closed so's?

Also, I have an older version of Mas90 running (3.21 for SCO Unix). I use SUDATA to copy modules? Is SVDATA the same or do you know? My sys doesn't recognize SVDATA or I'm doing it wrong.

Randy

SUDATA is OK for versions 3.6 and earlier. SVDATA is the latest version of that hidden utility.
