Hi,

is there a way to just take the current config of a running 3560 switch and import it to a new switch that we are putting in production? If not can someone tell me what the best way is in setting up and duplicating the same exact configs over to the new switch? Thanks.

Just do a sh runn , put it into a text editor and save and cut and paste it into the new switch.

install a TFTP server on your laptop.

Every time you finish configuring a new switch, TFTP its config off onto your laptop.

You can then use your old configs as a source for cutting and pasting bits of config you might need again.

You could also have a play with this:
