Whenever I copy and paste text into a dreamweaver page, the text loses all its preformatted effects like bold, italics, size etc... Is there a setting to change in Dreamweaver that'll allow me to retain the text effects when i paste..? thanks!

no

Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG web editor not a wordprocessor! [Hammer]

Very messy and not at all reccommended but if you put the formatted text into Word>Save as HTML>cut and paste the code from this>Use Clean up word HTML> this will retain the formatting but MS code is very scrappy.
