Greetings, all. This is my first post to Tek-tips. I hope someone out there has some advice for me.

I have a master project, that links to tasks in multiple sub-projects.

I want to share that master project with our customer, without having to send all the sub-projects.

Thoughts?

Is there a way to compress... or export a simplified version of the project that removes the links, but still references a task (even though that task actually resides in a sub-project)?

Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Open the blank Master Project (or simply open a blank project).

Click on Insert > Project
Navigate to the folder where the file is located
At the lower right corner of the file open dialog is a box labelled "Link to Project"; clear this box.
Click on "Insert".

Repeat those steps until all project have been inserted.

This will give you a schedule with all tasks. Delete the ones you don't want.

There is no other way to do what you are requesting.
