Hi,

I just bought a new hard drive for 3300 Cx controller. When I'm trying to load the software it will stop due to failure in formating the hard drive.

I'm wondering if there is a way to copy from working hard disk to the new one using Norton ghost?

If it is there, whats the way to create the boot disk to be compatible with the operating system for Mitel 3300?

Thanks in advance.

Do you use SI or from bootline ?
Have you also checked your HD ?

Also I've never tried, but if you run a 3300 Mxe you may use two HD...but you may need first to load the version.

Now, it's about French users too !!!

Hi,

I'm using the boot line command. Also Im sure that the HD is OK, because it is a new one. As far as I know that one of the Mitel channel have tried it, and it is working fine.

The only way I can think of to "copy" the hard drive of a single drive 3300 system is to backup the database to an external location then change the drive, install the O/S then restore the database. Voila, you now have a copied drive, albeit a couple hours later with a total service outage (and an angry customer) as a result.

On the control-redundant drive system on the SX2K copying a hard drive is relatively simple and comparatively fast with no service outage.
