Hi all,

What is the best way to copy a table from db to another?
Export data doesn't seem to copy everything.

Thanks.

The export data "should" export all of the data in a table unless you have put some type of filter on the DTS pump or in the script you are executing.

Can you give a brief description of what you are exporting, how you are accomplishing this and to what destination are you exporting the data to (ie straight to the destination table, a csv file ...)

Thanks

when I do the "export", it doesn't copy the primary key & user data type.

I had to generate the script first and then export data. Thanks.

If you do an import or export data from within EM by right clicking on a table one of the options is Copy objects and data. If you un check the copy all objects check you can then select which objects to move. This will create the table then move the data. Becareful of what options you have chosen as it could have affects on other tables and such.
