In an attempt to set up a disaster recovery center I have to duplicate servers which includes copying scheduled tasks. I am able to copy the scheduled tasks but then I have to change the Run as: name as well as the security settings. Is there a way to fully copy a scheduled task?

Thanks In advance

Use NTBACKUP to back them up and then restore them to the other server.

I tried using NT Backup, but when I restore the Tasks onto the other machine, the Run As: is not maintained. For example the Run On: on the original machine is Task for some and Programmer for others, but on the machine I restore it to, all the Run As: are Administrator. Is there a way to copy the tasks and maintian the runas?

Here is how I did the backup:

On the Original Machine I ran backup of Winnt\Tasks
On new machine I restored to Winnt\Tasks (local)
set to maintain security
