copy reflow message in quark 6.1 1

i'm working on quark 6.1 for pc (windows xp) and i keep getting an error message along the lines of 'the copy will reflow because this was built with an earlier version of word' (or something like that)- it's causing minor reflow in the copy, which is creating major headaches.
does anyone know how to remedy this?

Remove the Word formatting.

You can remove formatting by copying all Word text to NotePad and then copying/pasting that text into Quark.
