Copy Profile??

I am not using roaming profiles.

Wondering, I want to set the PC's to automatically lock after 60min when the screensaver is enabled. I want this to be enabled for all PC's on this certain PC. Should I do this by creating a profile with that set at that, and then copy it? If so how do I do that.

Or can I do something in regedt32?

You could make a default user profile, setup all the things that you want to happen or not to happen, logout and login as an admin or an account with admin privilages, go to my computer-->C:\-->Documents and Settings--> Look for a folder called default user, if it is not there go to folder options and enable hidden files and folders, then go into the users folder that you setup everything in and copy all of it, then paste it into the default users folder, it will ask if you want to copy over, click yes.

Now anyone that logs into that computer for then on will have all the settings that you setup except for the administrator.

Using regedit, the registry editor find the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

These are the REG_SZ values that control the screensaver:

ScreenSaveActive = 1 (If 0, screensavers are not active)
ScreenSaverIsSecure = 1 (a 0 = no password protection)
ScreenSaveTimeOut = 600 (for 10 minutes)
SCRNSAVE.EXE = C:\Windows\System32\ssmypics.scr (or whatever screensaver file name you selected)

You can also check this key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop

These values determine settings in the case where no user logon is active.

Thank-you very much to the answers to this. I did a copy under User Profiles when I right clicked on My Computer.
I made the changes under my profile and then did a copy to Defualt User, and it worked great.
