I have two sessions of Excel 2007 open with a workbook open in one session and a blank workbook open in the other. I then want to copy the sheet in the open file and paste it to the other session keeping all the formulas. When I do this now it does a paste special values and the formulas are erased and I have to recreate the formulas again. How can I do this to keep the formulas intact.

An easier approach is to move the worksheet from the Source file to the Target file. Then, if you don't want to lose the info in the Source file, make sure to not save the Source file when closing it. You can always open up the source file again to work on it.

Hi,

Your problem is, that you "have two sessions instances of Excel 2007 open."

Close EVERYTHING.

Open the workbook you want to copy from. Use the New Workbook button in the Office Button to create a New empty workbook. You will be able to copy as you want, using one instance of Excel with multiple workbooks.
