I searched the net on this one and see others with the problem but couldn't find a solution.
Using Mozilla 1.3 on redhat 7.2, I am unable to copy a URL from a notepad and into mozilla's address bar. Being a newbie, I see that some apps let you ^C/^V but mostly I guess its select the text to copy, then middlemouse click to paste.
The problem is that after I've copied a URL into the clipboard, if the address bar already has a url in it, I normally replace that url by double-clicking to select it all, and ^V (or middle mouse click in this case) to paste the new URL. BUT when by selecting the old url, the clipboard contents have been replaced by the old url!
A somewhat unrelated issue is, I am unable to start mozilla with a shortcut icon I put on the desktop or tray. The path is correct, however it attempts to load but fails with no message. I can only start it by invoking run-mozilla.sh from /usr/local/mozilla. Where can I find instructions on how to create a desktop icon that is a link to application (because I must be doing something wrong here!)
Any ideas anyone? thanks...
