I have a user who opens two copies of powerpoint and if he goes into copy #1 and "selects all" from a slide, and tries to paste into copy #2, all the formatting is lost and not carried over. (i.e. font type/size, etc)

Can anyone tell me why and what to do about it. He is using XP Pro and MS Office 2000 SP3.

Thanks

I'm sorry... maybe it's just me, but I don't seem to understand what your response is saying here.

I would guess that the normal.dot for this docu #1 it is different from the #2.

When you do a select all & copy & paste you only pass the data without the format, in this case.
