Copy Past function between applications no longer working

For instance. If I copy something in Word and try to paste it inside a Publisher file, it pastes the last thing copied inside of publisher instead of the last thing copied in general. If I got to Notebook, it copies just fine. If I copy and past inside one of the programs, it works fine. It will not work outside of the program the object was copied in. This is a new issue. I am running Office 2003 on a Windows XP Home Media Center system.

Possibly an application is locking the clipboard. Search for a David Candy application that look for the process that may be locking the clip board. Search words: david candy open clipboard
