Hello there,

I must copy an Oracle database to an Access database. Since there is no data definition script, and we've got over 125 tables, some of which with much fields, I don't want to create this database manually in Access, but use odbc to get the tables + data from Oracle to Access. Does anyone know how to do this? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

1. Make an ODBC connection to Oracle database
2. File -> Get External Data -> Import...
3. Once dialog appears, change "Files of Type" to ODBC Databases(). It is usually the last option.
4. You will be prompt to select a datasource and log in.
5. Select all tables desired... and follow the prompts.
6. You may have to rename the tables when done. They sometimes get named using {owner}_{tablename}.

You can import with or without the data. A second option is to use the Oracle DBA tools to pull the schema out of the database.

Hope this helps,
