well the boss has me back at it again, i am at a department that isn't network,as of yet, at all i have about 40 pcs in the deparment. i have a BUSLINK usb drive that i can use xxcopy to copy each of the pcs harddrives. what i would like to do is take the BUSLINK and burn the pc harddrive to a cd but some of the hard drives are over 700mb in size. i am sure all of you out there have loaded software with 3.5 floppy which required two diskettes to load all the software. now here is my question, i need to know if it is possible to put information from one 900mg sized hard drive to two cd's, is this even possible.

Yes, and easy. Get Nero Burning ROM 5.5 installed on the machine(s), along with a burner. It's got a built in "backup to CDRW (or CDR)" option. Cheers,
Jim

let me get this right for sure, this software will allow me to do an xxcopy or should i use this software cause i need to get an immage of the c: drive?
thanks

You need to get an image, xxcopy won't write to CDR.
Nero will create the image at maximum size, write to the CDR, and prompt you for the next CDR, automatically spanning them.
It will also tell you how many CDR's you'll need.
The backups are easy to restore, the first CD is bootable, and will prompt you for the next one, etc.
It's really smooth, but beware, if you have lots of stuff, it can take a few CDR's. My system backup requires 9 CDR's. Cheers,
Jim
