I have a database that I would like to create montly reports on by filtering the data and copy it to new report. My problem is that I never know if the monthly report will be one page , two pages, or more. How do you set the sheets of the new report to work for 1, 2, 3 pages. The columns contain Dollar amounts that must be totaled in the final report.

I am not sure I explained this or not.......its kind of hard to explain.

Thanks

Max,

By referring to "filtering" data, it would appear your "database" is a spreadsheet-based database. If so, I can help - by emailing you example files that demonstrate how to generate reports by "extracting" the data to a separate sheet - set up specifically for printing.

By using Excel's "extraction" capability, which involves the use of selection criteria, it's easy to generate reports that contain precisely the data you require.

Hope this helps. You can reach me at the following address.
