A user will filter a table. I then want to run a module that will create a new identical table (same fields) however with just the filtered records.

I have no idea how to do this, my attempts have always copied all the records (not just the filtered records)

Any direction/hints would be much appreciated, thanks

Before anyone gives you an answer - why? You would be breaking the protocols of normalization.

Perhaps there is an easier way of reaching my end goal, then the way I am trying to go about it...

The user can filter the table using 10 different fields. I would like to delete some fields of the filtered table and then save it as a .txt file

Now the .txt file has only the fields and records that I need.

The entire 'why' I want to do this is complicated and difficult to explain.

Create a query from the record source and filter. This can then be used to create a text file.
