I have Notes R5, we are retiring the Domino server and I was wondering id there is a way to export all my personal folders and saved emails to my local hard drive and aceess them when needed using notes client?

thanks

Just make a local replica copy of your mail database before they take the server offline.

Pascal.

ok, I created a local replica...from Notes client I go to File->replication->new replica and created the replica locally and saved it on the local hard drive.
then(File->Mobile->Edit current location) and on the mail tab change mail file location from server to local.
I restarted Notes client, and I get the error message cannot connect to doclink database.
Am I missing something here or doing something wrong?

You have a local copy of your mail, but do you have a local copy of the server's Name & Address book ?

You'll need one if you want to go local on your location.

By the way, you mention the Mobile location. Do you have an Internet location ? Does it work better on that one ?

Pascal.
