copy database wizard fails

Hi,

i am trying to copy a db from one server to another using the copy database wizard.

No matter what options i select, the job keeps failing with the following error message:



Step Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Step Error Description:Unspecified error

Step Error code: 80004005
Step Error Help File:sqldts80.hlp
Step Error Help Context ID:1100

I cannot figure out why this is failing?

This is one of the disadvantages of using the wizzards. You might want to just backup and restore the database to the new server.

Do your drive letters and directory structors match exactly between the servers? Another problem could be permissions on the new server.
