We have 2 restaurant locations with the same identical menu and two different versions of Aloha Table Service; 5.2 in one location and 5.3 in the other. We have just made several changes to our menu at one location (additions, deletions, price changes, etc.) We programmed all of these changes manually in Aloha and even changed the overall layout of the screens in FOH. We are going to test everything for a couple of weeks in the first location before making the same changes in the other location.

My question is....can we copy the database from the first location to the second location and not have to program all the changes again manually?

Thanks!

If you use events, then copy the events file too. Below should be close enough to get you going.

you can use the database. all you have to do is run the dbconfig after you drop the database in. Dbconfig is located in the bin directory.

Thanks for your prompt replies! So I would copy the files to the "NewData" folder? Would it be wise to do this right after the end of day?

itm.dbf - items
sub.dbf - submenus
mod.dbf - modifier menus
men.dbf - menus

This will cover all the FOH changes
