Hi!

For a storage proof of concept (POC), I have to copy VGs from the current storage to a POC storage (another brand). I know I could migrate from the current storage to the new one using mirrorvg or migratepv (or others), but as far as I know, all of them "migrates" the data, I need to copy it, since once the POC finished, I have to get back to the original storage and I don't want to copy the data back from the POC to the current one, am I clear?

how can I do it with LVM?

Thank you!!

ask your storage team to create a "LUN copy" and import it into you POC system.

thank you, but that's the problem, storages can'r do a LUN Copy, that's why I need to do it with LVM.

I testes with success such methods:

1) cplv (from VG to another VG, you can remap disk to another system and importvg there)

2) dd + netcat "server
