Copy Data from Old tapes to Disk

HI There

Please anyone kinldy help me am in this comp which is using veritas netbackup 5.0 on San to backup files first to disk then to tapes.

The person doing the work has left and am in a dilema how to restore a file from the tape to a different location.

Want to restore the application top.

Kindly help me we are on OCFS and everyday a backup is being taken to the tapes.

I have few tapes but am unable to find out what it has and how to copy a file from the tape to the disk and place it at another location

The tapes are IBM 3581 F28

Kinldy anyone help me its urgent

You will need to import the tapes to Netbackup this will recreate the image entry in the NBU catalog.

Once this is done you can restore from the tape.
