Hi,
I have 2 servers Srv1 and Srv2.The first one is in production and the 2nd one is in preparation.I made a crossover cable to connect those 2 servers. My problem is I can ping Srv2 from Srv1 but I can't ping Srv1 from Srv2.Each server has 2 network cards.
For Srv1, Nic1 is connected to my Lan with this address:
10.11.1.6
255.255.0.0
10.11.1.1 as gateway

Nic2 in server1 has 192.168.1.10,255.255.255.0 and no gateway

Let's see server2 now:
Nic1 is disabled
Nic2 is connected to Nic2 in Srv2 through a crossover ethernet cable with the following address:
192.168.1.11
255.255.255.0 and no gateway

The reason I do this, is I want to copy files between the 2 servers. My crossover cable is fine as I tested it successful.TCP/IP is functioning well, client for microsoft network and file and print sharing are installed, I put the NIC2s on the same subnet and I sohould be able to ping each other from any server but it's not the case.Could somebody tell me What I did wrong? I would appreciate.
Thks a lot.
