I created a custom report. Now I want to copy the same design, same formulas, and expressions to create a new report with data from a different table, would anyone be able to tell me how I can do that?

While in design Mode and on the Reports tab select the report that you want to copy. Select Copy from the Edit menu. Select Paste from the Edit menu. When prompted give the new report a name and click OK. Open the report in Design view. Open to the forms properties. Change the Record Source property to the new table.

As long as the data elements are all the same as the ones used in the report then everything should work well. If there are any field name differences then you will have to update the Control Source property of the controls in the report.

Let me know if you need more explainations. Bob Scriver

Thanks Bob. I didn't get a chance to try it until today, and as soon as I wanted to start, I got a problem! I don't really now where exactly "Reports tab" is. I went to Edit menu and the Copy button wasn't active (I couldnt choose), instead, the paste was (what is it to paste if I didn't copy anything?) Thanks so much for your help.

After you open ACCESS in Design Window mode you have a number of object types. Tables, Queries, Forms, Reports, Macros, and Modules. Select Reports. Now a list of reports is visible. Select the report that you want to duplicate. Select it by pointing to it with you cursor and click it. Now the Edit menu item has a selection Copy that is highlighted. Select copy. Now select Paste. You will be prompted to Name the newly duplicated report.

That is how it is done.
