Is there a way to copy crystal reports that are published to the enterprise server to another location outsideof the server?

Thanks,
Ray

If you're asking if you can do this for a block of reports, I don't think there is a practical way to do this. The reports have all been renamed to something like ~12a3659xew.rpt once stored on the server. It would be more trouble than it's worth to cross reference them.

To move a single report, you can open the server version of the report from within CR - in the Open dialog is an icon for Enterprise. Clicking will force a logon to BOE, where you then can navigate to the BOE folder and open the report. Then do a Save As to a different location/name.

Thanks Brian,

That is what I thought. The hard way it is.

Hi,
If , after stopping the Enterprise servers, you move the entire directory structure ( the one specified in your INPUT server's configuration), you can then re-specify the new location for that structure - NOTE: the entire structure must be moved not just some subfolders.

Hi,
One important note - be sure the INPUT/OUTPUT servers are running under an account that has full permissions on the new file system location.

Thanks Turkbear,

This is not an Enterprise Server move, just wanted to put copies of the Crystal Reports on another Drive.

The people that wanted me to do this are using the same server as another company and are going to start from scratch with their own Enterprise Server. They want me to have the control of what Reports are published to their server as there are many out there but some are no longer needed.

I will just save them one at a time to folders with the same name as the folder they are in on the Enterprise Server. It is the longer more complicated way, but will be better in the long run.

Hi,
If you have access to the original reports, not the published ones, they would be better to move since they will have familiar names not odd Enterprise assigned ones.
