Copy Cognos Job Schedules

I have a question for those of you familiar with setting up Cognos 8 jobs in the scheduler. I created a job on the test server that executes 8 reports that get emailed with a message. I like and would like it to go to production. Is there a way to copy that job over there?

you can't copy just the job. you would need to re-create it.

you could probably write some sort of sdk script to do it.. but i don't know if you use the sdk.

Pure theory here, but:
create a dummy public folder called "export jobs".
Go to tools, content administration.
Export just folder "export jobs" and only tick on "Include schedules" = "Keep existing entries".

Import this export on production.

does that take all jobs/schedules or just the ones for reports in that folder? i suspect you are correct though...

No idea. It's all theory so someone actually needs to try this and confirm it works or not.
