I have a customer who has 30 18d's and would like to put the same 10 speed dials as buttons on all the phones. Is there a way to program one phone and copy to all the other phones? I am working with 7.0 and the copy via the pc admin software only copies feature keys not the 10 digit speed dial numbers? Any suggestions?

Learn to key it in like a calculator? Seriously, it doesn't take that much time to do, especiallly from Centralized Telephone Programming at Ext. 10 or 11.

You could then go back to the remote software and visually confirm that the numbers are correct

10 digits X 8 Buttons X 30 Exts. That sucks. Should be able to put system speed dials on a button and copy.

I wish it where a option in copy command . I agree its a PITA , (one of the reasons Im getting away from partner on new installs)

This is the reason system and personal speed dial lists exist. I get customers who want all their phones to have DSS buttons for all extensions on each phone. The order has to rotate because you don't want a button for your own extension so this is an even bigger PITA. Add to that the fact that these things frequently change. What are you going to do, go back and change them whenever they want and make new cards too?

The reason the remote admin software doesn't copy speedial buttons is because your situation with every phone the same hardly ever happens, or I should say should never happen.

I would say the problem here is you and your not being assertive enough about not wanting to be responsible for this. Out policy is that unless there are only a few buttons, we will put DSS and speedial buttons only on the receptionist extension.

The customer needs to be trained to use the system speedials. Then teach them how to program and maintain their own speedial buttons. That should be each extension owner's responsibility. If they have to do 10 buttons on 30 phones you will see how quickly they see the light.

Do you have a copy of PC Administration for partners ACS R3 and up?

Is so, connect to the partner system and go under Extension. At this point just highlight any ext. Near the bottom of the screen you will find a "Station Copy Buttons to Other Extensions". It is just below the "Copy Settings to other Extensions".

that wont copy speed dials. put a phone number in there and try it. wont copy

You are correct, I was reading it as speed dial buttons on the phones. Best bet would be to use system speed dial.

If I recall you cant put system speed dials on a button

Train the customer to do it. A well trained customer can help in the long run. Most but not all customers like to know how to do some of the programming
